Unlocking valuable climate action

Aimed at CSO’s, financial controllers, and senior leadership, as well as carbon market participants, co-hosted by VCM+ and the Climate Liabilities and Assets Initiative with ecosystem partners Nature Broking, Kita, OSE, and others, the event will provide pragmatic and understandable insights into unlocking board climate action through accounting and how to build value for your company through engagement with the carbon markets.

The day will involve insights from experts alongside breakout discussions focused on the following themes:

  • Why it matters: how the accounting for credit purchases impacts decisions for buyers and project developers. Opex vs. capex, long-term planning, managed asset solutions such as the permanence trust. Better financial information around climate disclosures and asset creation drives value creation and action

  • What does the FASB decision mean, and what other pathways are available?
